I guess that my future, I just got figure out which road to take to achieve it.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Achievement

It is the end of the year and I am proud of myself for achieving my greatest accomplishment. I have technically made it to Junior year. I have always thought i would never make it in my high school years.  There was a point in time where I had given up on school due to personal experiences but, I have made it through. I have kept up my grades, not as what I hoped in elementary school, and I have finished my first two years. Half way through done I am starting to see the finish line yet, it saddens to how close the end is near. Sometimes I wish I could be forever young.

Portfolio - Improvement

My highschool years have been tough ones but, I always manage through especially, academically. I was very skillful in the writing region, I still am, and I plan to improve my skills by taking more advanced classes. When it came to reading I was always a natural; I just love reading and I plan to challenge myself and never stop. Speaking always and forever will freak me out, talking would seem to be like my forte but professionally and in front crowds is so different than in front of friends. I will push myself in this area by practicing so I can get comfortable. Group-work is something I mastered in elementary and never lost it. Technology was something I found to be a natural in. Sitting in front computers as a kid and I would just do these cool things with and I can fix most problems with any computer. I actually took classes at Santa Clara College and expand my learning I will love to take more too.  To continue and expand my knowledge I will study hard and put in extra work to keep going. Education is something that will not ever stop in my life.

Portfolio - My Educational Experiences

In my life, I have been to very many schools. I have always done good and kept my grades steady but, with the constant school changes credits seem to drift away. For example, when starting a new school my old one usually has done poor job of accurately sending my credits. Or due to moving mid year I don't recieve all of my credits because I didnt finish the classes. But, I ran into a oppertunity when I moved to San Diego. It was an online school called iHigh Academy that allowed me to catch up on many of my missing credits. Now, since attending SPA, I still have few credits to finish but its very little and I am proud of myself for catching up to the point where I can still graduate on time.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Obstacle

In my life, I moved around a lot and this became my greatest obstacle. Attending about 5 schools for just the 10th grade alone is really rough. Not only did this happen in my current highschool years but, throughout my whole life. Being a new girl, soon went from an adventure to a burden. Always leaving my friends and trying to make new ones was emotionally traumatizing. Trying to keep up with my grades was even worse because each school was at different stages in the curriculum. Moving as much as I did can ruin a childhood due to the fact that there isn't nothing to go back on to help you remember things like highschool yearbook or old highschool friends that you graduated with and new for so long. I was made stronger by this because I have to fight to stay afloat and so far I've done really good.

Academic Language Week 38 - Video Games in School Curriculum

Video games in school is an ASPECT of great encouragement to the students. Allowing video games to be placed in the classrooms, along with educational games, will be a FEATURE that is helpful to the students. The excitement of playing it will push the students to follow the guidelines of getting their work done, keeping their grades up, turning in their homework and doing good so they won't recieve the CONSEQUENCE of losing their turn. With the right games, the students will be abled to learn in a fun way. Video games should be allowed in school.

Changes since freshman year

During freshman year, I was motivated and focused and as time progressed I grew less determined to be a straight A student. By the end of freshman year, I had gone off track mentally but somehow managed to keep my grades stable. At the begininng of my sophomore year, I had tried my best to be on the track to college but, the classes I was taking were too hard (I thought) so, I just gave up. I moved from Fremont to San Diego and basically dropped out of school. By the time I came to SPA, I had slowly fallen back into the mindset of going to college and tried hard to keep my grades up. When Senior year comes around, I plan to be ahead in credits and getting scholarships. I know that my Junior year will be my hardest but, I plan to reach my goal.

Academic Language Week 37 - Unhealthy Meal Choices

The fast food indrustry is unhealthy and bad influence for kids. This indrustry has a huge SECTION dedicated to influencing children to eat their food. They THEORY that their influence will increase the chance of them being obese in future is true. If one fast food place provides cheaper and more greasy (more tasty) food then a SIMILAR place will do the same. This leads to even more unhealty choices with a variety of place to choose them at. So, fast food places should not be allowed to target little kids.

Ironic Story Blog Post

Malsya Dean was walking home when she was thinking of ways to get back at the evil witch of person Jane Mard. Jane today decided it would be funny to tell everyone that she found out that Malsya was an experiment baby. So everyone started yelling and calling her E.T. when she came to lunch. Malsya couldn't wait to get home and tell her dad about the crazy day she had. She than began to start thinking of the odd stuff that had been happening to her like how her skin was darkening but yet there hasn't been sunny for the past month and she thinks she maybe getting shorter also her dad has been acting weird too. He locks himself in the basement with what she thinks is the t.v. light flashing on the outline of the door and weird noises. She knocked before and the light turned off and their wasnt any noises anymore. But she brushed it off and hurried home because the bell rang. There was something odd when she arrived home. Her dad wasnt in the kitchen. There was the same noises again coming from down the hall. Except this time it wasn't the basement that was glowing it was her room. She slowly opens her door expecting her Dad to be doing something unusual. Instead it was Jane Mard with green skin implanting a jello substance in her pillows! Then they all died. The end.

Language Week 35 - Sweatshops

Sweatshops are a violation of human rights. The owners of these sweatshops are put their workers under CONTRACTS that basically signs over their life. They are treated unfairly and forced to work in horrible LABOR conditions. Even after APPLYING the fact that these workers need these jobs and have no where else to work, it still doesn't justify the conditions they are put in. Sweatshops don't have to take away human rights and can still give an oppertunity of work.

Academic Language Week 33 - American Students

The students of America are not in a failing rank compared to other countries. Studies showed that a large majority of American pupils are not grade level in reading yet, English is Americas strongest and most important attribute. Not only that, many foreigners migrate here for a better education. Since there is a major migration here from a large variety of countries whose education is nowhere as academically advance as America's, there are many immigrants being tested in areas they havent been taught which brings are scores down. Also, studies said that many students that enter highschool will not graduate or they will dropout, but there is many successful people who have not finished highschool and make million because they were already so smart. So these studies can not determine the value of Americas education and with that said American students are not academically challenged compared to other countries.

Spring Break Blog Paragraph

My spring break was spent on campus at spa. I spent my mornings in bed asleep. I went on one outing to the movies to see Titanic in 3d, which was pretty fun. I also did a lot of laying out in the sun with my friends, most of us just napped. When it started to rain I spent time inside playing video games, watching movies and eating over at my friend's houses. We were really bored but seemed to always find something to do. There was also 2 BBQs that had some really good food and games, which were fun too.  Overall my spring break was just really relaxing and I sort of enjoyed it.

Academic Language Week 29 - School Conferences

Parents should not go to jail for missing their child’s school conference. The student and his/her parent might not be able to TRANSFER themselves to the meeting causing conflict. The meeting is also not necessarily a good RESOURCE of helping the parents to help the student because even if the conference occurs it does not guarantee that the student will do better with or without their parents help. Finally, if murderers don’t have to go to jail for SEEKING out innocent children and killing them then, parents shouldn't either just for simply missing a meeting. Forgetting their child’s school conference should not equal jail time for parents; it is unfair and unusual punishment.

Academic Language Week 27 - Drug-Sniffing Dogs

Drug-sniffing dogs should not be allowed for usage by school officials. First reason is that not every student has drugs that they ASSUME does. Next the PROCESS of getting the dogs in the school and evacuating the students out takes away from their quality learning time. Dogs are animals and even trained ones have their animal instincts therefore, they could RESPOND to the students by attacking one of them. In any situation, it is neither safe or school appropriate for drug sniffing dogs to be used by school officials.

Trayvon Martin Paragraph

George Zimmerman needs to be charged with voluntary manslaughter for shooting Trevon Martin. There was no solid evidence showing that Zimmerman was attacked by Martin yet there was many factors provided by witnesses and police reports showing that Zimmerman was harrasing Martin. Due to Zimmerman's past history with the law, he has shown to be very aggressive and paranoid; for example he has called the police 46 times since January 2011 and according to neighbors he was focused on crime and young, black males. On the other hand, Martin has no history with the law and was an A and B student that was always cheerful. This shows that Martin was less likely to attack Zimmerman especially since Martin was only carrying skittles and an iced tea and Zimmerman had an 9 millimeter handgun. The police officers that was in charged of this case also need to be in question because the usual procedure that follows homicides was not followed throughly. There was thoughts by police operator that he, Zimmerman, sounded intoxicated yet he wasnt drug or acholol tested. It is essential to for teens to look at stories like this and undersatnd how the world can really be. Futhermore, this case is in critical need to be look over again so, that justice can be served.

Rain, Vacation, or Zombies vs Vampires Blog Post Paragraph

Rainy days are calming. For example, there are many things to do. You can watch movies. Or you can can simply sleep in. In addition, the sights and sounds of a rainy day can also help relax and calm you down. For example, the foggy, grey skies influence your mood. In addition, the sounds of falling rain soothe your mind. Next time it rains, I hope I can do these things.
